One hundred festivals threatened for the declining subsidies

The drastic cuts in subsidies to the local French governments produce that more than hundred festivals that are celebrated in France will not carried out this year. A crisis hits small festivals and as well the largest and alarm artists and cultural are of the country. The main reasons for this situation is the falling attendance, inflation caches, but especially those cuts grants to cities, councils and regional councils, the main providers of festivals, challenging the idea of a culture of public service.
