Peñíscola International Festival of Medieval and Baroque Music

Features: Six to seven open-air concerts held at night, with paid admission. The festival opens with a free firework show preceding the first concert.

Created in 1996, the Peñíscola festival focuses on baroque and classical music, with a special emphasis on traditional performance that has attracted many of the genre?s leading artists and which has converted the festival into an international reference point for the interpreters of music composed between the 12th and 17th centuries. The festival?s concerts, which offer a wide-ranging variety of performances and include soloists, chamber works and orchestral performances, take place in the patio of arms of the Papa Luna castle in Peñíscola.
