To show films that make us think, awaken our conscience, denounce injustice and reflect the social and cultural diversity of humanity. This is the objective of The Human Rights Film Festival, which will celebrate its tenth annual festival this year. From the 16th to the 26th May, more than 120 fiction, animation and documentary films, both national and international, will be exhibited at Girona and Maldà cinemas. The program will include parallel activities, such as exhibitions, round tables, travelling exhibitions and training workshops,theater, cinema for children, cinema in prision, cinema on the drug addicts center, Sahara roundtables, among others. The Human Rights Film Festival of Barcelona, with offices in New York and Paris, has established itselfat an international level and is the most important Human Rights Film Festival in Catalonia. The event, directed by Toni Navarro and organized by the entity La Mirada Descubierta (The Discovered Look), has been recognized by ICCAR of UNESCO as a model for fighting against the many forms of discrimination and racism and good practices in Human Rights.
