The composer Joaquín Turina, born in Seville, gives name to the festival, and chamber music works by him are performed together with a wide range of the great chamber music repertoire. During 8 days the invited artists stay in Seville to perform chamber music together and to give individual- and chamber music coaching to invited students. A chamber orchestra is also formed by the students and invited artists, and it forms part of the official concert program in the Festival. In every Festival we have present a luthier and a piano technician for workshops and individual approach from the festival´s participants and the audience in general. The concerts take place in several emblematic venues in Seville, and the atmosphere in the Festival has prooved to be a unique cultural event in Spain. The project is the only one of it´s kind in Spain.
