Drap-Art is a platform for artists working with waste materials who consider that waste is a
resource. It creates awarness in its public to environmental problems caused by an
unbridled consumption and the proliferation of waste. It was founded in 1995 and organizes
workshops, fairs and markets, conferences, exhibitions and festivals, developing a new
creative and sustainable economy, and encouraging its audience to reduce, reuse and
recycle, in addition to consuming in a more thoughtful way.
Drap-Art'15 International Festival of Recycling Art of Catalonia will be held at the CCCB and
surrounding areas, from 18th December, 2015 to 3rd January, 2016. The fair activities and
will be centred on the week-ends of 19th, 20th and 21st December and 1st, 2nd and 3rd
January.
Like the previous edition, Drap-Art'15 will be developed in eight modalities that approach
creative recycling: group exhibitions of art and designer objects made from recycled
materials, interventions in public space, debates, the traditional art and design fair,
participatory workshops, performances, audiovisuals and environmental cinema.
The call for artists to participate in Drap-Art'15 will open on 15th April, 2015. The regulations

As a special incentive, Drap-Art'15 will include the Residu'Art prize for the seventh year
running, awarded by the HERA group in the categories "Emerging Artist" and "Professional
artist".
Drap-Art'15 expects 15,000 visitors and will host more than 150 artists, musicians, talleristes,
designers, lecturers, filmmakers ...
